Nov 21 Cold Ride |
Wanted to try riding the bike with the new Engine Guard Chaps from ClassicChaps. Took a 50 mile ride up route 38 and took some side roads. It was a beautiful sunshine day, but temperatures in mid 40's promised a brisk ride. Donned the Insulated Leather jacket, helmet, Neck Gator, boots, and decided to forego the leg chaps so I could see how the engine guard chaps worked. The chaps worked well. They kept the wind off my boots and lower legs, and kept the heat nearby helping me stay warm. The wind was deflected closer to the windshield, off my body and helment which also helped stay a little warmer and reduced the wind buffetting. But it was a hoot to see the keyfob go straight up in the air though! The only thing that got cold were my thighs. If I had worn the leg chaps, my legs would have also been warm! Stopped at one of the small towns and took a couple of pictures. |
